Peer Review

The Advances in Engineering and Multidisciplinary Knowledge (AEMK) is committed to maintaining a high standard of academic integrity. As such, we have implemented a rigorous double-blind peer review process that ensures both author and reviewer anonymity during the review process.

Double-Blind Peer Review Process

All submissions to AEMK undergo a double-blind peer review process. This means that the identities of both the authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process. The goal of double-blind peer review is to eliminate any potential bias based on the identities of the authors or the reviewers.

Steps in the Peer Review Process

  1. Initial Screening: All submissions first go through an initial screening by the editor to check their suitability with the journal’s scope and standards. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic standards or are out of scope are rejected without review.
  2. Assignment of Reviewers: If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to a minimum of two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
  3. Review: The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, significance, quality of the research design, presentation of the data, and relevance to the field. Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommend one of the flilowing: accept as is, consider after minor changes, consider after major changes, or reject.
  4. Decision: The editor makes a decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations and comments. The decision, along with the anonymous reviewers’ comments, is communicated to the authors.
  5. Revision: If revisions are required, the authors must respond to the reviewers’ comments and make the necessary changes to their manuscript.
  6. Final Decision: The revised manuscript is evaluated by the editor. If necessary, it may be sent back to the original reviewers or new reviewers for further review. Once the manuscript meets the journal’s standards, it is accepted for publication.
