Submission Guidelines

Submissions to the Advances in Engineering andMultidisciplinary Knowledge (AEMK) should adhere to the following guidelines to ensure the clarity, consistency, and quality of the materials published.

Types of Manuscripts

AEMK accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles: Detailed reports of completed, original research that contribute to new knowledge to the field. These should be structured as follows: Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of recent developments on a specific topic. Reviews should provide critical evaluation of the literature and ideally identify future directions.
  • Brief Reports: Short reports of novel research findings that are of high interest to the readership. They should be structured similarly to Original Research Articles but may be shorter.
  • Technical Notes: Descriptions of new techniques, procedures, or tools in engineering and related disciplines.
  • Perspective Pieces: Articles that provide personal viewpoints or commentary on current trends or issues in engineering.

Preparation of Manuscripts

All manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English. Authors whose first language is not English may want to have their manuscript professionally edited before submission to improve readability.

Manuscript structure

Title: Should be concise, informative, and include major keywords.
Abstract: A brief summary of the study, not exceeding 250 words, indicating the purpose of the study, methodology, main findings, and implications.
Keywords: 4-6 keywords representing the main content of the article.
Introduction: Clear statement of the problem, review of relevant literature, and objective of the research.
Methods: Detailed explanation of the methodology used, including data collection and analysis methods.
Results: Presentation of the research findings, using figures and tables where necessary.
Discussion: Interpretation and implications of the findings, comparison with previous research, and suggestions for future research.
Conclusions: A brief conclusion highlighting the most important findings and their potential implications.
Acknowledgements: (if applicable) Recognition of people, grants, funds, etc.
References: Complete list of references used in the article, following the specific citation style of AEMK.

Formatting Guidelines

All manuscripts should be submitted as Microsoft Word files (.doc or .docx). The text should be formatted to 1.5 line spacing, with margins of at least 1 inch on all sides. Use a standard, clear font such as Times New Roman 12 point for the main text.

Figures and Tables

Each figure/table should be included in the main text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end of the manuscript. They should be numbered consecutively and accompanied by a descriptive caption. Please ensure that all figures/tables are cited in the text.

References

The AEMK uses the APA (American Psychological Association) referencing style. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of their references.

Author Contributions

Please provide an ‘Author Contributions’ statement clearly specifying the role of each author. The statement should specify who has contributed to the following: Conceptualization, Methodology, Software, Validation, Formal Analysis, Investigation, Resources, Data Curation, Writing – Original Draft, Writing – Review & Editing, Visualization, Supervision, Project Administration, Funding Acquisition.

Conflict of Interest

Authors are required to disclose any potential conflict of interest that could be perceived to bias their work.

Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted online through the AEMK’s manuscript submission and peer-review system. Upon submission, authors will need to confirm that the work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere.
These guidelines are intended to facilitate the review and publication process. Manuscripts that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the authors for revision.
